Daniil Medvedev is the clear favorite to reach Tuesday's Hangzhou final after his Monday semifinal against Roman Safiullin, a matchup his return game and rally tolerance should control from the back court. Nothing left in his half of the draw has offered much resistance to his level this week.

Andrey Rublev is the other likely finalist coming out of his semifinal against Kyrian Jacquet, a Frenchman playing in his first ATP semifinal. Rublev's 30-17 record this season and heavier ball should be enough to close that match out, though Jacquet's run through Vukic, Etcheverry, and Marozsan shows he is not an easy out.

If Medvedev and Rublev both advance as expected, Tuesday's final would be a rematch of a rivalry Medvedev has generally controlled with his return depth and defensive coverage neutralizing Rublev's power. Rublev's best path is dictating rallies short and avoiding the extended exchanges Medvedev thrives in.

Prediction: Medvedev to win the title. Confidence: medium.
